One core part of my work at ITO is the variety of individual customer requirements and challenges me and my team have to master. The logistics environment was and will be dynamic. Standing up to the tasks is not always easy, but rewarding. I am becoming part of complex projects where I need to quickly recognize needs and intent of my customers and define my part in the process.
My biggest logistics project (so far) was the organising of an air bridge for an automotive manufacturer between Italy and the United States. It took over 60 charter flights of Boeing 747 freighters over two months to deliver important parts, just-in-time, to a production plant and avoid standstill of the production.
